Liam Gallagher has told fans to “stop moaning” over ticket prices as sales windows open for next year’s Oasis tour.
Announced earlier this month, Oasis Live 27 will see the group hit the road once again. Following on from their massive reunion shows in 2025, the rock‘n’roll stars will perform 38 concerts in the UK and Ireland, Europe and the US.
Anyone hoping to nab a ticket will have had to pre-register for ticket sales by 4pm on Thursday 17 September. Successful fans will then be selected at random and allocated a unique, non-transferrable code they can use to join an online queue in one of the nine buying windows spread across three days.
The first windows opened on Friday (25 September) at 9am, with sales continuing through the weekend. Three further slots will open today (26 September) and three more tomorrow (27 September).
While it is hoped that the staggered purchasing windows will help make the process smoother, fans still had complaints over the price of the tickets, which will be fixed and range between £71.50 and £266.60, including fees, according to the band.
One fan on Twitter recalled spending just £6.30 to see Oasis in 1994 in comparison to today’s pricing, to which Gallagher replied: “STOP MOANING.”
Asked for his thoughts on resellers charging “extortionate prices”, the musician responded: “Don’t f***ing buy them SIMPLE.”
The 54-year-old also responded to one fan who asked whether they should be purchasing tickets to more than one show, quipping in response: “What else you gonna spend [your money] on.”
Gallagher was not shy with his replies on Friday, telling one fan who assured him to “ignore the haters” that he enjoys “highlighting their moaningness”.
As ticket sales continue into the weekend, fans have already expressed disappointment at not receiving a code, with one writing on X: “Has anyone received codes yet today (Friday) for tomorrow’s Oasis ticketmaster round? It’s 12pm, I’m miserable, and all I have to cling to is false hope.”
On social media, the “Champagne Supernova” singer told “stressed out” buyers to “chill”.
The band have also instructed fans to be wary of scammers attempting to impersonate Oasis or their ticket partners. “Important: We have been made aware of possible Oasis ticket scams,” they said in a statement. “As ticket information and unique codes are about to be distributed, please remain vigilant.
“Scammers may attempt to impersonate Oasis, our mailing list or our ticket partners. Please do not accept a code that is not sent by oasis@openstageit.com.”
This year’s ticket-buying process is under scrutiny after the band’s 2025 reunion shows attracted controversy over Ticketmaster’s alleged “dynamic pricing” model, where fans were met with inflated ticket prices during the frenzy to secure spots at the shows.
Ticketmaster denied using dynamic pricing. In September last year the company was forced by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to change how it advertises tickets, following the backlash.
Demand for the tour has been so great that Oasis added four extra dates, including two at Knebworth on 25 and 26 September, where they famously played two concerts in August 1996 to an audience of more than 100,000 fans each night. Full tour dates here.
