Mackwood Returns With Late-Night Mover ‘Sammy’ | News

Mackwood has shared his new single ‘Sammy’.

The maverick talent – who CLASH once described as one of UK music’s best-kept secrets – is back, working with pioneering label Tru Thoughts on his new single.

Out now, ‘Sammy’ is a fusion sound, an after-hours heater built for club use. The frenzied electronics intermingled with jazz elasticity, allowing Mackwood to team up again some close friends.

Named in honour of close friend and guest saxophonist Sam Norris, ‘Sammy’ is a system shaker that also platforms Jay Verma on keys and Laurence Wilkins on trumpet.
