Manchester City begin their Women’s Super League title defence at home to newly-promoted Birmingham City on Sunday.
Andre Jeglertz’s side stormed to their first league triumph since 2016 last term and will not want to let their grip on the trophy slip amid growing competition.
Birmingham are back in the WSL after winning the second tier last season as one of three newly-promoted sides following the expansion from 12 to 14 teams.
