Mattel has launched its UNO Advent Calendar, bringing a bit of festive cheer to the popular family card game. And while shoppers can currently get their hands on the Advent calendar for £22.49 (£17.99 plus £4.50 standard delivery) at John Lewis, there’s a clever way to get it for even less.

The Uno Advent Calendar provides 24 days of surprises for children and the rest of the family to uncover in the days leading up to Christmas. Each door included on the advent calendar reveals a variety of gifts, including festive cards, game pieces, and even twists to the original UNO game.
Better yet, despite having 24 doors with cards included, shoppers can start playing the game with a complete deck included on the first day. This, in turn, allows you to add unique twists and extra additions to the game as you get closer and closer to Christmas.
However, if you want something a little different, you could opt for the Minutry Advent Calendar, which is available on Amazon for £23.99. This calendar provides a variety of toy vehicles for your child to play with, letting them have a full set by the time Christmas Day rolls around.
Otherwise, you could snap up the LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, which is available on Amazon for £22.99. This calendar provides 24 separate LEGO gifts, including three mini dolls and six animal figures.
Currently, there are no reviews available of the UNO Advent Calendar at John Lewis. However, customers should note that the festive version of UNO only accommodates between two and four players, much less than the usual game.
Furthermore, the advent calendar comes with easily misplaced pieces, which could cause issues for the whole game if they go missing before the final door is opened on Christmas Day.
