Even though India defeated the West Indies 2-1 in the three-match ODI series, the Indian attack was exposed in the most recent games, and all of the bowlers—aside from Kuldeep Yadav—did not perform well. In all three games, a Jasprit Bumrah-less attack let up runs at will, and Shai Hope’s undefeated century helped the West Indies chase down a formidable mark of 352 with 10 balls remaining in the series’ final ODI. In the series, Gurnoor Brar, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Auqib Nabi, and Anshul Kamboj were tried out; however, none of them could step up with the ball, and the bowling became a major concern ahead of the World Cup in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe next year.
