The Andhra Pradesh government has appointed MLC Konidela Nagababu as Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Andhra Pradesh Society for Greening & Reforestation for Ecological Enrichment (AP GREEN).
The government has also accorded him Cabinet-rank status in connection with the appointment.
AP GREEN has been set up with the goal of increasing Andhra Pradesh’s forest and tree cover to 50% by 2047.
With the new responsibility, Nagababu is expected to play a key role in the state government’s long-term greening and reforestation initiatives.
