Nando’s restaurant at Nottingham’s Cornerhouse shuts for revamp

The restaurant has been trading at the city centre complex for 25 years

Nando’s has moved to reassure chicken-loving customers following the closure of its restaurant at The Cornerhouse in Nottingham.

The restaurant chain confirmed the premises was only shutting temporarily after its doors closed earlier this week, with signs outside suggesting a renovation was taking place.

A spokesperson for the South African business said it had been closed for some “tender loving care” and would be reopening in just under a month.

“Our Nando’s in Nottingham – Cornerhouse is closed for some TLC (tender loving care). We’ll be reopening and firing up the grills once again in mid-September,” they said.

Nando’s moved into the Cornerhouse complex as one of its first tenants in 2001, alongside other popular restaurant chains Wagamama and TGI Fridays.
