It has been widely reported over the years that Prabhas has been avoiding action stunts following “Saaho.” Several reports and rumours claimed that body doubles were used for the actor in key portions of films such as Radhe Shyam, Salaar, Adipurush and The Raja Saab, particularly for action sequences, as he had been advised to avoid strenuous stunts due to his knee issues.
However, Prabhas underwent knee surgery and, after recovering, gradually returned to performing action sequences himself.
The actor is now taking things a step further with his upcoming film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
According to producer Pranay Reddy Vanga, there is not a single shot in “Spirit” featuring a body double for Prabhas. He revealed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga does not use body doubles in his films and that Prabhas himself is performing the scenes and action sequences.
The team planning to wrap up the remaining shoot in the next two to three months, and release it for March 2027.
Pranay Reddy Vanga also praised Prabhas for his dedication to the project, stating that the actor is willing to work long hours whenever required and has never complained about the demanding schedule.
“Spirit” has Prabhas playing a cop while Tripti Dimri is the heroine. Prakash Raj after appearing in its first schedule reportedly backed out voluntarily.
