Oasis have confirmed they’ll be hitting the road again next year for yet another mammoth tour, but fans who want to get their hands on tickets must answer a key question first

If you fancied your chance of entering the Oasis Live 27 ballot for tickets, there’s one question you must answer. It was the news we had all been waiting for, the period of reflection is over, and Oasis are going to be hitting the road again.
Last year, there was drama surrounding ticket sales, with people waiting for hours in a virtual Ticketmaster queue and some tickets selling for more than the intended price.
This time, though, things are very different. A registration system has been put into place to beat the virtual queues and prevent ticket touts from getting their hands on tickets. Fans have to register on the Oasis website to be in with a chance of landing a spot on the ballot, which would see them issued a unique code, allowing them entry to an allocated on-sale window.
Upon sign-up, you will be asked for your first, second, and third venue preferences, as well as whether you would like to receive information about travel packages, including coach travel and hotel packages.
After that, you will be asked one key question – “Which Oasis album was released in 1995?” This has been done to prevent touts and non-fans from getting their hands on tickets. Once this is complete, lucky fans will be emailed their unique code granting them access to the sale windows.
A code does not guarantee you will end up with a ticket. Ticket sales will take place in the UK on September 25, 26 and 27, with three windows each day.
Lucky fans will find out what on-sale window they have been allocated and what time they can access the sale. Registration is open now. Outside of the allocated sales window, there will be NO general sale or other public pre-sales.
The band have decided to follow this process to ensure that buying tickets is as smooth as possible for every fan. Sharing the news of the tour, Oasis said: “START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!! After a period of reflection, ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people.
“Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.” Standard tickets will cost £71.50, £104.50, £170.50, £203.50 and £263.50, including fees for seated tickets. Those wanting to get standing tickets will part with £170.50 and £203.50, including fees. Hotel packages are also available, as are coach and VIP packages.
Noel has also revealed that the decision was made after their second Wembley show last year. Speaking on TalkSport, he said: “It was after about the second Wembley show.
“Nobody knew what was going to happen and how it was going to go. We did Cardiff and Manchester, and by the time we got to Wembley, someone said ‘Well y’know…’ And yeah, it was decided we were gonna do it. And it was all set in motion then.”
He went on to add: “We couldn’t do Europe because our fans in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, and all that have been great with us down the years, so we couldn’t do that. These ideas start as a little idea. Then the Vegas and Boston gigs were two we were supposed to do last time but we couldn’t do them for some reason.”
Oasis will kick off the tour with their first show on May 21 at Glasgow’s Celtic Park, before concluding their five Scotland shows on May 29. After a few days off, they’ll be returning to their hometown for 11 dates at the Etihad Stadium, with their first show taking place on June 4, before wrapping up on June 26.
After touring around Europe and America, they’ll be back to perform four shows at Knebworth on September 11, 12, 18 and 19.
