Fans are in overdrive, and convinced it means an announcement is coming

Oasis fans have gone into overdrive after the band posted a video on social media on Thursday afternoon in the biggest hint yet that they will go on tour in 2027.
The band has not officially announced a tour next year but rumours have been swirling around in recent months. Now the band has dropped a new video on September 3 which fans believe hints at their next move.
The 23second-long clip shows two young lads in a chippy with Little by Little playing in the background. One of the lads sits on a counter top tucking into some chips and shoves the other one away when he swoops in for one.

The second lad then grabs a Mars Bar from the fridge and goes to the counter to buy it, although some fans suggest that it’s going to be fried, hinting at a Scottish chippy. There’s not much more action in the scene and yet Oasis fans have analysed every aspect of the video to see if it reveals any clues as to what the band’s next move is.
A sign on the fridge states that it’s kept at ‘-4’ which could indicate a countdown to an announcement. Another hint at dates is the fact Little by Little is playing in the background, along with the music video.
The song was released in September 2002 so some fans reckon an announcement will be made this month. One poster on the wall says ‘Realization for the Nation’ which is a phrase Liam posted on X in August, along with a series of other posts with the word ‘Nation’ in it.
One account on X, @alivedemo, suggested the video reveals coordinates for Celtic Park, which are 55.849712, -4.205991 – these numbers match the poster advertising the ‘family chippy bundle at £55.84’ as well as the fridge temperature.
The Iron Bru cans in the fridge and the fact one of the lads is buying a deep fried Mars Bar strongly suggests that the Scottish theory could be correct. The taxi number on display is believed to be one for Glasgow as well.
But there’s hope for Manchester fans, too. The two lads are wearing shirts similar to what Noel and Liam wore at the original Maine Road Man City gig, so there’s a suggestion that there could be shows at the Etihad Stadium.
One fan on X suggested that this video is going to be the first of several, with each one suggesting a different host venue. X user @oasissafc84 wrote: “We are getting a video everyday between now and next Wednesday. 6 day, 6 videos teasing 6 venues! Announcement made at end of film.”
Prior to the video being posted, Liam shared a link to the song Tease Me by Chaka Demus, fuelling the speculation even more.
Despite numerous rumours, Oasis have yet to confirm a tour next year, although this seems to be the biggest hint to day. On Wednesday night Noel Gallagher confirmed there’s “something happening” in summer 2027 when speaking to TalkSport presenter Andy Goldstein. It followed Liam urging Noel on X to announce a new tour, saying: “Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.”
As the MEN revealed earlier this summer, the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, home to the Gallaghers’ beloved Manchester City, is set to host up to 12 gigs from Oasis across June 2027. Man City’s games conclude at the end of May, giving Oasis free reign to take over the ground for what are set to be the hottest tickets of next summer in Manchester.
The MEN understands from music industry sources that the gig schedule will see three gigs a week, including weekends, at the Etihad Stadium across June, while plans are also afoot to stage a huge return to Knebworth from the band later in the summer.
The cryptic video comes ahead of a busy weekend for the Gallagher brothers. They are confirmed to attend the world premiere of the new docufilm about the Oasis Live 2025 return at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, September 5.
The film, Don’t Look Back in Anger, will feature the first joint interview from the brothers about their epic comeback.
They will then return to London for the UK premiere of the film on Monday, September 7. The film will then head into selected cinemas from Wednesday, September 9, before general release across the world from Friday, September 11.
The MEN understands from music industry sources that a big announcement is being planned by mid-September. A new Oasis tour would spark an epic scramble for tickets, given the 2025 tour broke all records amid the clamour from millions of fans to be at the live shows across the world.
Oasis have not yet officially announced any 2027 dates.
