Cinemas worldwide are due to stream the film showcasing Black Sabbath’s final farewell show next month

Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s farewell show is set to be broadcast on cinema screens across the world, more than a year after the Prince of Darkness took his final bow.
From October 28, for a limited time only, fans will be able to watch Black Sabbath’s final performance from the Back to the Beginning show in Villa Park in July last year at cinemas across the world.
Entitled, Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning, Ozzy Osbourne’s Instagram account announced the date the film would be released earlier today (September 16).

The announcement read: “THE GREATEST DAY IN HEAVY METAL IS COMING TO THE BIG SCREEN
“The final performance. The definitive farewell. “Relive the biggest day in heavy metal history in the place where it all started — now on the big screen. “Back to the Beginning is in cinemas 28th October. Tickets on sale 24th September at backtothebeginning.com.”
Ozzy took to the stage alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates to perform what would be his very last show on July 5 of last year, as he died just weeks later on July 22 at the age of 76.
The Back To The Beginning performance was the first time the original line up of bandmates, including Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward had come together in two decades.
It saw famous names from across the world meet in Birmingham to celebrate Black Sabbath and the history of metal.
The event was hosted by actor, Jason Momoa, and featured performances from artists including Halestorm, Travis Barker, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool and Alice in Chains.
Over 40,000 people attended the concert last year, with three million watching via livestream for the momentous occasion.
Sharon Osbourne spoke of Back to the Beginning’s importance to her husband in a new statement.
She said: “Back to the Beginning came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy.”

“And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans.
“That’s all he wanted to do. He wanted to say goodbye and thank you.”
Tickets for the new film are due to go on sale on September 24 via the Back to the Beginning website.
