Paramore’s Hayley Williams unleashes profanity-filled response after DHS tells her to ‘thank’ ICE

Hayley Williams is not holding back when it comes to speaking out against Donald Trump’s administration.

After Williams said “f*** ICE” onstage during her concert in Chula Vista, California, in September, the outspoken Paramore lead singer sparked a response from the Department of Homeland Security.

“America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News. “We suggest Ms. Williams to thank them for their service, not belittle their sacrifice,” the agency’s statement said.

Williams, 37, then unleashed her response to the DHS’ statement in an Instagram Story post Monday: “And may I suggest all Nazi bitches suck on my fat d***.”

A DHS representative did not immediately return The Independent’s request for comment.

It has become standard for Williams to issue political messages like “f*** ICE” and “Free Palestine” from stage while on her solo tour, the Hayley Williams Show.

Before playing her song “True Believer” — from her latest album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party — the singer also typically makes a statement onstage that “the greatest threat to American democracy is Christian nationalism.”

Williams is a vocal critic of the president and Republican politicians. In 2024, she denounced Trump and his policies during Paramore’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Los Angeles.

As the alternative rock band, who formed in 2004 in Tennessee, played their song “Big Man, Little Integrity,” Williams looked into the broadcast camera at the show and said: “Project 2025 is Donald Trump’s playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color and the LGBTQ+ community.”

“It is time for all Americans to band together and to finally defeat the Trump agenda. And the only way to do that is by confronting him at the polls,” she said at the time, weeks before Trump defeated former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Williams concluded her message: “Do you want to live in a dictatorship?”

The “Ain’t It Fun” singer is in the company of several other musicians who have used their stages as platforms to speak out against the Trump administration. Superstars like Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan and Bruce Springsteen have all previously used their concerts to condemn Trump’s anti-immigration policies.

Earlier this year, rapper Cardi B got into an online feud with the DHS after she said she would “jump ICE” if the agency tried to detail fans at her concerts.
