Popular Nottingham Thai street food restaurant Zaap has temporarily closed due to an issue at the student accommodation above its premises.
Zaap Nottingham, on Maid Marian Way, announced the closure in a post on social media.
It said the situation was “outside our control” and that essential repair work needed to be completed before the restaurant could safely reopen.
A statement from Zaap Nottingham said: “ZAAP Nottingham is temporarily closed due to an ongoing issue originating from the Kaplan student accommodation above our restaurant.
“This is outside our control and essential repair work must be completed before we can safely reopen.
“We are working with the relevant parties to get the issue resolved quickly, and hope to welcome you back soon.
“We’re really sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, and continued support.”
The restaurant did not give a specific date for when it expects to reopen.
The award-winning restaurant is located in Bromley Place, Nottingham city centre and is renowned for its pairing of authentic Thai street food with a vibrant décor, Zapp also has sites in Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and York.
Kaplan was approached for comment but declined to comment.
Zaap thanked customers for their continued support.
