Ravi Teja Failed to Achieve This

Ravi Teja has delivered the biggest blockbuster of his career with Irumudi. The film has been performing exceptionally well at the Indian box office and has completed 15 days of its theatrical run.

According to Sacnilk, Irumudi has collected a worldwide gross of around Rs 201.60 crore so far. The film has also earned about Rs 21.90 crore from overseas markets, including around $1.7 million from North America.

Its strong performance in India has made it one of Ravi Teja’s biggest successes. The Nizam share alone has reportedly crossed Rs 45 crore.

As per the reported agreement, this share goes to Ravi Teja. He had already taken an initial remuneration of Rs 8 crore, which means the film has reportedly fetched him around Rs 53 crore so far, with its theatrical run still continuing.

The film’s footfalls have also been impressive. It has reportedly surpassed the footfalls of films such as Pushpa and RRR. Reasonable ticket prices are said to have played an important role in attracting large audiences.

However, the biggest surprise is the film’s performance in the US.

Despite its massive success in India, Irumudi has struggled to reach the $2 million mark at the North American box office. Many expected the film to comfortably cross the milestone, but it has remained below expectations.

In comparison, Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man crossed the $5.2 million mark in North America, while Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaram reportedly crossed $2 million.

This raises questions about Ravi Teja’s strength in the North American market. If even the biggest blockbuster of his career struggles to make a stronger impact there, it suggests that his films still have limited reach among Telugu audiences in the US.
