Ravi Teja is set to take home one of the biggest paychecks among mid-range Telugu stars, thanks to the success of “Irumudi.” His decision to take a gamble on the film’s Nizam rights instead of demanding his full remuneration upfront appears to have paid off handsomely.
While top-tier Telugu stars are commanding paychecks in the Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore range, mid-range stars such as Nani and Vijay Deverakonda are reportedly earning around Rs 20 crore to Rs 30 crore per film.
Ravi Teja received around Rs 15 crore for his previous film. For “Irumudi,” however, he opted for a different remuneration structure. Instead of taking his full fee upfront, he reportedly took a nominal payment and secured the Nizam rights as part of his deal.
“Irumudi” is now expected to generate around Rs 50 crore in share from the Nizam region by the end of its theatrical run. With Ravi Teja having a stake in the territory, he could reportedly earn at least Rs 30 crore from the Nizam business, in addition to his initial remuneration.
Overall, Ravi Teja’s earnings from “Irumudi” are expected to be in the range of Rs 35 crore to Rs 40 crore.
The gamble has clearly worked in his favour, giving Ravi Teja a significantly bigger payday than his recent remuneration.
