Sreeleela was spotted in Hyderabad on Sunday at the inauguration of a shopping centre. Of late, the actress has been making appearances at such public events more often than at film-related events or shooting locations.
One of the reasons is that Sreeleela currently has no Telugu film in production. She is, however, playing the female lead opposite Dhanush in OM, which is scheduled to hit the theatres later this year.
Meanwhile, her Bollywood projects have faced delays. Sreeleela signed her Hindi debut nearly three years ago and had already completed a substantial portion of her scenes with Kartik Aaryan last year. However, reports that the film’s storyline had similarities to the blockbuster “Saiyaara” reportedly prompted the makers to make changes to the script and reshoot portions of the film.
As a result, the shooting was put on hold for several months. The latest buzz is that Sreeleela will finally resume work on the film next week and continue shooting until the project is wrapped.
The actress has also signed two more Hindi films, making Bollywood an important part of her career plans even as she currently has no Telugu release in the pipeline apart from OM.
