Lidl claims the new item boasts a ‘modern design with a natural wood effect’

Shoppers looking to add an extra dimension to their living spaces may want to head to their local Lidl on Sunday. The supermarket, which has roughly 1,000 locations nationwide, is set to launch a “modern” furniture piece that can double as storage.
Available for £19.99, the LIVARNO Side Table has been earmarked for release across all stores on Sunday, September 27. Lidl claims it boasts a “modern design with a natural wood effect”.
At a glance, it has a very simple aesthetic and design that should be able to fit in with most home décor themes and colour schemes. It is deceptively compact too, measuring 39 x 37cm, making it easier to find a place for it in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and other spaces.
Describing the product, Lidl said: “Contains 100% FSC-certified wood, modern design with a natural wood effect. Lift-top design with ample storage, tabletop and slats with an easy-care melamine resin coating.
“Sturdy powder-coated steel frame, easy to assemble. Fixings and instructions included, Volume: 28L, Max. load capacity of tabletop: 25kg, Size: Ø39 x H37cm, 3-year warranty.”

Shoppers are advised to avoid a wasted trip by double-checking stock levels on release day and beyond. This can be done via the online store finder – just enter your postcode, and a list of your nearest Lidl branches will appear alongside whether the side table can be found in its iconic ‘Middle of Lidl’ aisle.
It could be considered a budget alternative to the Brown Fluted Side Table at The Range which is selling for £62.99. At a glance, i’s rather difficult to tell the two apart aesthetically, but there are two major differences other than the price tag.
Not only is this marketed solely as a side table – meaning there’s no hidden storage compartment unlike the Lidl piece – but it can also be delivered straight to your front door in a matter of days.
