Tesco has urged Clubcard customers to take action before the end of the month or risk losing out. Shoppers are being urged to check when their Clubcard vouchers expire before August 31, when millions of pounds worth are due to become invalid.

Clubcard vouchers are issued to customers every three months — in February, May, August and November — as a reward for purchases on groceries, clothing, fuel and other items in Tesco shops.

The vouchers remain valid for two years from the date they’re issued, which means any vouchers sent to shoppers in August 2024 are due to expire at the end of this month. These vouchers will become completely worthless after 11.59pm on August 31 unless they’re redeemed.

The supermarket giant has said Clubcard members can triple the value by spending rewards with one of their 100 reward partners, including Hotels.com, Disney+ and restaurant chains like PizzaExpress and Bella Italia.

It said £100 in vouchers could get you £300 to spend on food at select chains, 10 weeks of four cinema tickets, eleven three-month streaming subscriptions, five one-year Railcards or £200 of credit off an easyJet holidays getaway.

Remember, too, that all new subscribers to Clubcard Plus will get their first month for free. You must have not been a subscriber to Clubcard Plus within the last 6 months.

Go to the Clubcard Plus page and follow the sign up process. You’ll be asked to enter your payment details but don’t worry you won’t be charged until the free month ends.

After the free trial period ends, the £7.99 subscription fee will be charged automatically. You do not need to do anything to continue enjoying the benefits of Clubcard Plus.

You can cancel your Clubcard Plus subscription at anytime. See FAQs about ‘Managing my Subscription’ for more information.
