Those who are brave enough to venture into the forest will find that they’re not alone

This Halloween thrill-seekers are invited to head into the North Wales countryside where they’ll find a world of adrenaline-fueled activities and high speed adventures hidden in the darkness.
Zip World at Betws-y-Coed is holding its annual scare-fest, Ffear Fforest from October 8 to November 1, which sees the site transformed for Halloween. Zip World is known for its Forest Coasters, aerial adventures and zip rides, but it’s set to get even more thrilling this Halloween.
Ffear Fforest operates from 7.30pm to 10.30pm each evening, taking place after dark. If that wasn’t spooky enough, those who do venture to the site will find that they’re not alone, as creepy characters join them in the darkness – this is certainly not a Halloween activity for the faint-hearted.

This year the event includes the Cursed Coaster, where you can race along 1km of coaster track through a pitch-black forest at speeds of up to 25mph, with only your headlamp to guide you. Visitors can also escape high up in the trees in the Nets, where you can bounce and run along, finding nooks, crannies and walkways along the way.
Both the Cursed Coaster and the Nets are included in the standard night passes which start from £24per person, with two coaster rides included and unlimited visits to the Nets, along with The Surge, where visitors have to race against a 10-minute alarm to win merchandise and vouchers. You can also pay extra to add on additional adventures.
Adrenaline-junkies can take on Nightfall, a breath-taking 100ft drop through a set of trapdoors into the darkness below. Those who are brave enough to take it on will be submerged in darkness before the trap door opens (from £18).
Or take on Screamride from £19.80, one of Europe’s largest swings which sits up to five people. It sees you hoisted 24m in the air before one person releases the cord to send the swing flying through the trees.

For those who like a challenge, navigate treetop obstacles, zip lines, cargo nets and balance beams in Tree Horrors, a high ropes course, while creepy clowns cause mayhem below.
Standard Night Passes start from £24 per person. The event is suitable for those aged nine and over, with under 18s accompanied by an adult.
