There’s no stopping this hamster wheel of manufactured sale cycles, so we’re now conditioned to save our shekels for the Bezos blowout where literally everything is discounted. But put a pin in the larger implications of all that for now. What we can guarantee is that most of us want our hard-earned dollars to go as far as possible and Prime Day can make that happen, though some deals are better than others. It’s a good opportunity to cash in on investment purchases like laptops, TVs, and other high-ticket gizmos, but some of the best savings are actually the Prime Day deals under $100.

We really wish that the deals could stick around all year long so we don’t have to wait for Amazon to call the shots on when we can finally replace our socks. But that’s just the way things are these days. Take it or leave it, we guess.
