The Cardiff pub offering a three-course Christmas Day dinner for less than £50

It can often cost an arm and a leg to eat out over the festive period, but one pub is offering a cut-price rate

A group of Cardiff pubs will serve up a Christmas Day lunch this year and it will cost a fraction of what many other places in the Welsh capital are charging.

While dining out on Christmas day will save on the stress of prep and standing by the stove all day – it can be quite pricey. However, if the thought of not doing any washing up or making gravy sounds up your street, and you don’t want to be paying over £100pp, a handful of Cardiff pubs have a three-course December 25 dinner for around fifty quid.

The Claude, Roath

This is the pub that’ll feed you three courses for £44 for adults, on December 25. You can’t argue with that price if you want a hot meal and no washing up on what can be the busiest day of the year.

Choose from hand-carved turkey, surf ‘n’ turf or a pie for main, you’ll have the pick of brie wedges, soup or smoked salmon and king prawn cocktail for starters, plus many more choices. Click here for more.

The Crwys, Cathays

Over in Cathays, Grandstand pub The Crwys is putting on a three-course dinner for adults and kids. The menu features festive favourites including turkey with all the trimmings, minted lamb shank as well as vegetarian spinach and butternut squash tart.

The Victoria Park, Canton

The Canton pub’s Christmas Day menu is £52.99 for adults. This too is a Grandstand pub. The menu is the same as The Cathays sister pub with turkey and trimmings, salmon en croute. There are vegan options, too. Kids will dine here for £26.49.
