The Gentlemen fans are “already mourning” as they exclaim “what a waste” in response to season 2 on Netflix.
Netflix’s The Gentlemen is back but not everyone is happy with how season two plays out.
Two years have gone by since viewers last saw The Gentlemen on their screens, seeing ex-soldier Eddie Horniman (played by Theo James) become entangled in an underground drug empire.
Season two of The Gentlemen is set just a year after the events of the first outing with Eddie continuing to work very closely with Bobby Glass’ (Ray Winstone) daughter Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario).
From the beginning, Netflix fans have shipped Eddie and Susie because of the ongoing banter and undeniable chemistry between the pair.
Unfortunately, some viewers have been left disappointed to see Eddie and Susie are not “end game” in this newly released second series.

Jose Mourinho’s three-part Netflix documentary is available to watch at no extra cost for Sky customers as the provider gives away free subscriptions with each of its Sky Stream TV bundles.
Instead, Eddie falls for Italian aristocrat Bella (Benedetta Porcaroli) who he has an “immediate connection” with.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Again not lovers in this season, that p****d me off.”
Someone else echoed: “Guy Ritchie, what did you do?…we just wanted Susie and Eddie to end up together! Why do this to us?”
“Wait, why am I seeing people say that Eddie and Susie aren’t endgame this season?” a third tearily shared. “What do you mean Eddie and Susie aren’t endgame…did I just wait two seasons for nothing?” another exclaimed.
While a fellow viewer commenting even before the show dropped, commented: “The season isn’t even out yet and I’m already mourning Eddie and Susie not being endgame, what a waste.”
Theo James described Eddie and Susie’s relationship “softening” in series two as fans see a “different side” to them but it isn’t their love story in series two.
In an interview alongside Scodelario and Porcaroli, James added to Radio Times: “They [Eddie and Bella] fall in love and there’s a whole story around that. It’s a kind of different element of the character.”
The Gentlemen is available to stream on Netflix.
