Nani starrer “The Paradise” continues to be a talking point on social media and in the media. Despite negative reviews, the film has already grossed Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Now, the film has received attention from BRS working president and former Telangana minister K. T. Rama Rao, who announced that he would be watching “The Paradise” in a theatre.
Taking to social media, KTR said that he would be visiting a theatre after many years to watch a film on the big screen. He wrote, “After many many years, going to a theatre tonight to watch one of my favourite actors @NameisNani and the talented young director @odela_srikanth in ‘The Paradise’.”
Meanwhile, one particular sequence in the film has become a talking point among audiences in Telangana. The scene features Priyadarshi as an MLA, and his appearance and mannerisms have led many viewers to draw parallels with former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Srikanth Odela has presented the episode prominently in the second half. The sequence comes when Priyadarshi’s character is introduced as an MLA. Many viewers have interpreted the character as a tribute to KCR’s unflinching attitude and his reputation for standing by his word.
At a time when the Congress government, headed by Revanth Reddy, has been engaging in political criticism of KCR and the Telangana movement, the portrayal has drawn particular attention from BRS supporters. It remains to be seen how KTR reacts to the sequence after watching the film.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, “The Paradise” is set in the 1980s and revolves around a marginalized community in Secunderabad’s Paradise area.
