Nani has high stakes riding on “The Paradise” as the lead actor. After delivering a series of successful films, the actor is keen to establish that his market has now grown into the Rs 250 crore range. The film itself is mounted on a reported budget of over Rs 200 crore and has already closed its OTT and other non-theatrical deals for substantial amounts.
However, a major share of the recovery still depends on the theatrical business. For that, “The Paradise” needs a strong opening and sustained performance across territories.
The team has consciously decided against releasing a trailer, partly to avoid giving trolls and negative campaigns material to work with. Instead, the promotional strategy has largely revolved around the songs, both of which have turned out to be viral hits.
But with the trailer ruled out, Nani feels the team needs fresh promotional ideas to create further momentum. He and his team are now brainstorming ways to take the promotions forward during the final ten days leading up to the release.Directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, “The Paradise” is set against the backdrop of a bygone era in Secunderabad. The film is scheduled for release on September 24, with premieres beginning on September 23.
It remains to be seen what new promotional strategies Nani and his team come up with in the final stretch to build anticipation for the film.
