Halloween looms one month away, but there’s no reason not to start assembling a fun spooky outfit right now (you could even take it for a public test run). Hosts of an already legendary series of gigs in central Tāmaki Makaurau, nestled next to the flash newly opened Karanga-a-Hape Station, T&M have announced a special Halloween lineup for their ninth Mercury Lane Alleyway gig on 31st October.
A trifecta of rising local acts will be letting rip — garage-punks The Bright Ideas who launched their debut EP Bright Sharp Things earlier this year, post-shoegaze trio Blisster and alt-rock collective Masc/Femme (featuring former members of CCTV) — plus there’ll be live puppetry from Tom Tuke, the artist behind the visuals for Princess Chelsea’s 7 Seconds In Heaven event last Friday.
