UBT Sena Leader Dies After Assailants Open Fire In Thane, Say Police

A local Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnekar died after he was allegedly physically assaulted and fired upon by unidentified assailants in Maharashtra’s Thane on Tuesday night, police said. Purnekar was rushed to hospital but succumbed to injuries. He was the Thane ‘vibhag pramukh’ or division head of the Uddhav Thackeray-led party, a Sena (UBT) leader said.
