
Vishwaksen has completed shooting for “Cult”, which he is directing and headlining. The makers describe the film as India’s first slasher film and say it has been mounted on a large scale.
Key portions of the film were shot over 40 to 50 days on a specially constructed set at Ramoji Film City. Hundreds of models participated in the sequences, which the makers say have been designed on a large scale.
Tharun Bhascker has penned the dialogues for the film. The sound design is being handled by Sachin, who has worked on films including “Animal”. KGF composer Ravi Basrur is providing the music and background score for the film.
Produced by Sandeep Kakarala under the Tharak Cinema banner, “Cult” features Vishwaksen, Gayathri Bharadwaj, Murali Sharma, Sreekanth Iyengar, “Pushpa” fame Tarak Ponnappa and Pragathi among others in important roles.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 30.
