Viswanath And Sons, starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, is gearing up for its digital premiere after a successful theatrical run. The family entertainer blends romance, comedy and emotional drama while exploring relationships and family values. Netflix has officially announced that the film will begin streaming from September 11 in multiple languages.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film reportedly crossed the Rs.260 crore mark worldwide during its theatrical run. The strong response across domestic and overseas markets added to Suriya’s impressive box office momentum. The movie’s overseas performance also contributed significantly to its overall commercial success, according to trade reports.
The film follows Sanjay Viswanath, a wealthy businessman and former Olympic athlete who remains unmarried due to painful experiences from his past. He eventually chooses surrogacy to have a child, but an unexpected health crisis forces him to search for the baby’s biological mother, opening the door to emotional revelations and family conflicts.
Suriya leads the cast alongside Mamitha Baiju, with Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar and other prominent actors playing important roles. G.V. Prakash Kumar’s music further strengthens the emotional tone.
