Wales host Denmark on Sunday night, with Craig Bellamy’s side hoping to build on their first Nations League win of the campaign.
The Dragons were promoted from League B last campaign after going unbeaten, however, it was a tough start to life in League A, Group 4, with Wales losing their first two outings against Portugal and Denmark.
Wales bounced back to secure their first Nations League points of the campaign on Thursday night with Bellamy’s men winning 2-1 in Cardiff thanks to goals from Daniel James and Neco Williams. However, the visitors were down to 10 men for the second half after Torbjørn Heggem’s red card.
Wales will be hoping Thursday’s victory will kickstart their second spell in the top tier of the Nations League, with Bellamy’s side sitting bottom of the group based on goal difference.
Denmark were comfortable in their 2-0 win against Wales at the end of last month but it’s been their only victory in the Nations League, with Brian Riemer’s side losing their other two outings against Norway and Portugal.
Denmark are second in League A, Group 4 and a win on Sunday will help close the gap on leaders Portugal with three matches remaining.
