The Rooneys share their rows as Wayne says he’s never won an argument, while she says he has a short temper

Ahead of their new Disney+ fly-on-the-wall series airing, Coleen and Wayne Rooney opened up on their couple dynamics and the rows they have at home. Speaking to the Guardian, Coleen revealed Wayne can have a “short temper” and can be “impatient, waiting around for things.”
When asked if they row much, Wayne replied: “To be honest, I can’t remember the last time. We’ve been on a good run lately, haven’t we? We’ve not had a row for weeks and weeks”
Speaking about how bad it gets, Wayne added: “It’s more you shouting at me and me just taking it.”
He later added: “I’m never going to win the argument. If I start arguing back, it will just continue, so I’m man enough to accept it; let her get it off her chest. I don’t think I’ve ever won an argument with her.”
The former Manchester United ace has been married to Coleen for 18 years – they got hitched in a huge ceremony in June 2008.
Parents of four boys – Kai, 16, Klay, 13, Kit, 10, and eight year old Cass, – they’ve had a lot of ups and downs over the years, but recently admitted they are still strong and love each other, despite his transgressions. And they wanted their show to be as “raw as possible” Coleen told us.
“There were mornings when we woke up and weren’t actually speaking to each other,” she said. “But the film crew was there. We could have easily said, ‘We’re not filming today,’ but it was in my diary and I wasn’t taking another day out to reschedule, so we went ahead. If we’re not talking, it’s a natural thing.
“Maybe it was a bit frosty but it’s what life is. Couples go through that… We didn’t want to create moments that were fake.”
They’re also looking along forward to seeing their boys’ characters coming through on the show.
“We have four boys with big personalities,” she said . “They’re all characters and I think that comes across: it can be mayhem. They love each other but they don’t always get along.”
She also opened up on his punditry career, saying she “cringed” at a few things he’s said on screen.
“When he used to play and a pundit said something about him that he didn’t agree with, he’d say ‘Cheeky git, why are they saying that?’ Whereas now, it’s, ‘What are they going to think about what you said about them ?’ And we know them.”
