Glastonbury returns to Worthy Farm in 2027 after taking a year out
Tickets for Glastonbury 2027 will go on sale on Sunday and hundreds of thousands of music fans will be trying to get their hands on them.
Around 200,000 people attend the Somerset festival, which is returning to Pilton’s Worthy Farm next year after taking a year out in 2026. Glastonbury will be back on June 23 for five days, and while we don’t yet know who will be performing there are bound to be some big acts making an appearance.
On Sunday morning, the second batch of tickets will go on sale for the event after coach packages sold out in just half an hour on Thursday night. Tickets are expected to disappear quickly, with thousands of people likely to be left disappointed.
Fans will have had to register in advance and will be subject to some strict rules to ensure the same goes ahead smoothly.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the ticket sale, including what time it starts, how to book tickets and what to do if you don’t get them.
What time is the Glastonbury 2027 ticket sale?
The ticket sale will get underway at 9am on Sunday, October 4. Glastonbury recommends logging on at least 10 minutes before the sale starts to ensure you are in the queue ready.
Where can you buy tickets?
You can only buy tickets via the See Tickets website, here.
How does the queue work?
Anyone who wants a ticket will need to have registered and have their own unique registration number. When coach tickets went on sale on Thursday, ticket hopefuls were asked to input their registration number in order to join the queue.
Everyone who is already on the page when the sale starts at 9am will randomly be assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process. Anyone who logs on once the sale has already started will automatically be added to the back of the queue
Once you are in the queue, a progress bar will indicate how close you are to reaching the booking page. Glastonbury advises anyone trying to book not to use multiple browser tabs as it can confuse the ticket sales process and might cause your transaction to fail.
In previous years, people were encouraged to refresh a holding page to try and gain access to the booking page, but since the queue system was launched in 2024, people have been advised to stick to one page and just wait.
The festival website states: “We strongly advise that you use just one browser tab when trying to book tickets, in order to avoid possible problems with your transaction, and please do not refresh the page once you are in the queue.”
How many tickets can you buy?
There is a limit of six tickets per transaction and you will need the registration details of everyone in your group to book tickets. That includes their names, registration numbers and postcodes.
Registration numbers will be locked for up to 10 minutes if the details are entered incorrectly, or if an attempt to book is already held against your registration number when you try and book.
How much are tickets?
Tickets for 2027 will cost £408 each, including a £5 booking fee. A postage and packing fee of £11.25 applies per order.
A deposit of £100 is required per ticket at the time of the sale, and the remainder of the balance must be paid during the first week of April next year.
How long will the sale last?
Glastonbury tickets always sell out quickly. Coach packages were gone in just 30 minutes and it is expected that the main sale will take a similar amount of time.
In 2024, tickets for the 2025 festival sold out in 35 minutes. That was the first year the queue system had been used.
Will there be a resale?
Yes, there is usually a resale of tickets in April, a few weeks before the festival. Any tickets that do not get paid for in full are put into this sale, giving fans one last chance to buy a ticket.
