ITV singing competition The Voice UK was missing from television schedules last weekend but the famous coaches will be back on screens tonight to find Britain’s next superstar

The Voice UK was taken off air last week in a schedule shake-up.
However, fans of the ITV singing competition will delighted to know that Sir Tom Jones, Kelly Rowland, will.i.am, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher will be back on screens tonight (Saturday, October 3).
The programme usually airs slightly earlier in the evening but fans will have to until 8.50pm to watch the latest round of blind auditions as the coaches continue to pick singers to join their team.
The synopsis for this weekend’s show says: “Emma Willis hosts the spinning-chair singing contest, with coaches Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Kelly Rowland, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones assessing more acts.
“With only eight places available on each team, the mentors must choose carefully as they search for the UK’s most exciting singing talent, with the Rewind button giving them the chance to bring back an artist they regret letting go”
The Voice UK returned to screens in August for series 14 with Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland would be replacing pop star LeAnn Rimes as coach on the panel.
At the time, former X Factor judge Kelly said “can’t wait to hear all the new talent and to go to battle for my team. Let’s go!” and she’s been a hit with fans since making her debut.
The latest series features a huge change which will help coaches who maybe are a little too slow at pressing the button during the blind auditions.
The Rewind button will give each coach a chance to change their mind about a contestant who has left the stage without a chair turn. The coach can then press the Rewind button and invite the act back to join their team.
It has been confirmed that host Emma Willis won’t be returning for series fifteen next year with Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon taking over presenting duties.
Also, Sir Tom, Tom and Danny won’t be returning as coaches with rapper Aitch and Girls Aloud legend Cheryl joining the panel alongside will.i.am and Kelly.
The decision to not bring back Sir Tom has been faced with criticism from viewers with some fans demanding that ITV brings back the Welsh singer.
A petition titled Reinstate Sir Tom Jones on The Voice UK has so far attracted over 69,000 signatures from devastated fans calling for his return.
The Voice UK continues Saturday, October 3 on ITV1 and ITVX at 8.50pm
