Netflix fans have been urged to “stop wasting” their subscriptions and tune into an “incredible” film with “the best ending ever”. It’s so good many film buffs wish they could “wipe” it from their memories to watch it all over again with “fresh eyes”.
There’s a vast range of films available to tune into on Netflix spanning multiple genres from action and comedy, to horror, thrillers, dramas and plenty more. There’s also a variety of new releases added to the popular streaming platform, as well as classics that may have slipped under some people’s radars.
Choosing what to watch when there’s so much choice on offer can prove tricky, with many film fans turning to social media looking for recommendations. Film and TV-focused content creators have risen in recent years, with several amassing devoted followings thanks to their passion and insight into what’s worth watching.
This is the case with Luke Ecclestone, who posts content online as Eccy Reviews, as he recently named The Sixth Sense as worth a watch now.
The TV and film lover, with 480,000 TikTok followers, recently discussed the 1999 movie he branded “one of the best and most shocking films you will ever see in your entire life”.
In text written over the top of his video, he penned: “Stop wasting your Netflix and watch this film.”
Speaking directly to the camera, Luke began: “If you’re looking for a gripping film to go and watch on Netflix tonight, stop and look no further because I have the perfect film for you. It is one of the best and most shocking films you will ever see in your entire life.”
M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological horror The Sixth Sense still leaves audiences stunned despite it being released 27 years ago on August 6.
It follows troubled child Cole Sear, played by a then 10-year-old Haley Joel Osment, who has the unusual gift of being able to see and speak with the dead.
Naturally, this terrifies the young child – and Osment’s performance perfectly captured Cole’s inner turmoil, anxiety, fears and ultimately, his bravery and commitment to helping people find peace in their deaths.
In a bid to help him overcome his fears, psychologist Dr Malcolm Crowe – who’s also battling inner demons and trauma after a violent encounter with a previous patient – is enlisted to help. Bruce Willis plays the quiet, mild-mannered and gentle Dr Crowe which, at the time, was a stark difference to his iconic action roles like the wise-cracking John McClane in the Die Hard series.
Luke Ecclestone continued: “Now, this is already trending on Netflix, and if you’re someone who’s seen it, you’ll be like, ‘everyone has seen this’ but I genuinely know people who haven’t – and this film is genuinely incredible.”
He added: “This film is absolutely horrifying in parts. It is very emotional, but the story is so gripping you’ll be on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
“Once this film ends and you see the credits, you generally will never, ever forget about this film ever again.
“Make sure if you’ve seen it or go and check it out because of this video, let me know your thoughts in the comments – but please do not spoil it for people who haven’t seen it.”

In the comments section, fellow TikTok users were keen to share their thoughts. One person said: “Top 10 films of all time without a doubt.”
Another simply said: “What a classic.” A third commented: “I’ve watched this film 10 times, it’s brilliant and I still cry.”
While a fourth shared: “I had to watch it a second time straight away the first time I saw it. Great film.”
Someone else said: “Best ending to a film I’ve ever seen.”
And another added: “If only I could wipe my memory and watch it with fresh eyes!”
