It’s been a big week for Dune fans. A few days ago, early tickets for Dune: Part Three went on sale, and were immediately snapped up by eager fans (who likely all whispered “May thy knife chip and shatter” before entering the fray). And the hugely-acclaimed Dune: Part Two just arrived on Netflix too, ensuring the Spice is flowing freely for everyone to get caught up. It’s official: Dune season is upon us.
Whether you’re planning a complete Dune rewatch, or getting ready to watch the sci-fi saga for the first time ahead of the grand finale hitting cinemas in December, Empire has you covered. Both of Denis Villeneuve’s epic movies are streaming, and there’s more to the story than that too. Here’s where you can watch every part of the Dune saga so far, in the run-up to Part Three coming to cinemas.
The Dune Saga So Far — And Where To Stream It
Dune (2021)

Starring: Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa
This is, obviously, the starting point. Sure, Dune: Prophecy is a prequel in the timeline, but this is where the story begins: with Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) on the rainy planet of Caladan, being transplanted – along with the rest of his family, the great Atreides dynasty – to the barren desert world of Arrakis, aka Dune. Except, the whole thing is a setup from the nefarious (and voluminous) Baron Harkonnen, who schemes to wipe the Atreides out. Oh, and there are hallucinogenic drugs in the air, a sprawling evil Empire, vibrating knives, a box made of pure pain, and battles galore. Don’t let us spoil it – get it watched and start the whole gigantic adventure.

Dune: Part Two (2024)
Director: Denis Villeneuve | Streaming on: Netflix
Starring: Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Dave Bautista, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh
Next, pick up where Villeneuve left off: with Paul Atreides and his mother Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) out in the sprawling sands of Arrakis, coming face-to-face with the native Fremen, including Zendaya’s mystical Chani; the literal woman of Paul’s dreams. As Paul becomes deeper embedded into the sociopolitical – and religious – fabric of the planet, the Harkonnens prepare their next move, unleashing the murderous Feyd-Rautha (Austin Butler). Plus there are gigantic worm-riding setpieces, psychic fetus visions, black-and-white brawls, villainous turns, and much more war besides.

Dune: Prophecy (2024)

Starring: Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Chloe Lea, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jessica Barden
Finally, go way way back — as in ten thousand years way back — before Paul’s story, to get into the history of the Bene Gesserit. A loose adaptation of Brian Herbert’s Sisterhood Of Dune, Prophecy follows Mother Superior Valya Harkkonen (Emily Watson) as she leads the Sisterhood — later to become everyone’s witchy faves the Bene Gesserit — in a perilous power struggle. Perhaps underappreciated on release, Alison Schapker and Diane Ademu-John’s series is a visually dazzling companion to Villeneuve’s movies, packed with sordid schemes, Sisterhood school shenanigans, visions of Shai-Hulud, and even an Atreides with a Scouse accent. The Bene Gesserit’s plans may be measured in centuries, but you can bosh this one out in one or two evening’s of hard sci-fi bingewatching.

Dune: Awakening (2025)
Okay, okay, okay, so this isn’t technically part of Denis Villeneuve’s Duniverse, it also isn’t a movie or a TV series, and it’s set in a universe where Paul Atreides never existed, but — BUT! — Funcom’s 2025 survival-focused MMO game is such an unabashed love letter to Frank Herbert’s universe that it deserves a shoutout here. The devs also worked with Legendary Entertainment to make the game mirror Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movies’ aesthetic and visual style, so this choose-your-own-adventure style take on the saga will keep you immersed in the Villeneuve vibes.
