Vishwambhara: Producers approach Chiranjeevi to resolve release issue – Telugu Cinema

Raama Raama from Vishwambhara

Chiranjeevi’s “Vishwambhara” has been in the making for over three and a half years, but the film is yet to lock its release date. While Chiranjeevi has continued to announce and release other films, the socio-fantasy has remained stuck in the pipeline.

Last year, the team attributed the delay to the extensive graphics and VFX work. Now, the uncertainty over its theatrical release date is reportedly creating another problem for the makers, with OTT platforms seeking clarity on the film’s release plan before finalising their deals.

Chiranjeevi and director Bobby’s “Kaaka” has already locked January 13, 2026 as its release date, and its shoot is progressing at a rapid pace. With that film scheduled for Sankranthi, “Vishwambhara” has little scope to arrive before it.

The producers of “Vishwambhara” are yet to confirm a clear release plan. As a result, OTT platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and ZEE5 are reportedly unwilling to finalise their pricing for the digital rights. Consequently, the OTT deal is yet to be closed.

With the issue continuing, the producers have now approached Chiranjeevi seeking his intervention and help in resolving the release plan.

Directed by Vassishta, “Vishwambhara” is a socio-fantasy film featuring Trisha and Ashika Ranganath as the female leads. Mouni Roy is also said to be appearing in a special song.
