Knocking punters’ socks off with a commanding choreographed performance at Going Global Festival 2026, Ardon England (Ngāti Kahungunum, Te Āti Awa) is all set to ignite dancefloors across Te Ika-a-Māui. Making like a modern day Right Said Fred, the rising Aotearoa queer pop star’s Too Sexy Tour starts at Karangahape Road’s legendary Las Vegas Club (once an infamously seedy strip club), rolling into Mount Maunganui, Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and the Whanganui sensation’s hometown music hub Porridge Watson throughout November.
In recent conversation with Rolling Stone, England opened up about his boundary-expanding project: “It’s electronic music with live vocals, big performance energy, and storytelling that’s unapologetically queer and unapologetically Māori. I get to be the queer artist I wish I’d had growing up… Every song, every performance, and every creative decision is shaped by te ao Māori, even if the song isn’t explicitly about being Māori.” Attendees are advised to dig out their dancing shoes and dress to sweat, here’s the official lowdown…
