The makers of the 2018 youth entertainer “Husharu” have announced “Husharu 2”. Sree Harsha Konuganti, who wrote and directed the original, returns for the sequel, which promises a fresh story built around friendship, youthful humour and chaos.
The title poster offers a glimpse into the film’s unusual world. It features five friends surrounded by a truck carrying beer, a giant snake, a turtle, a treasure chest and a factory, creating an intriguing visual that appears to draw from the imagery of Samudra Manthan.
“Husharu 2” follows five friends who lose everything during COVID and head to Chittragunj with an ambitious business idea involving an agave-based tequila distillery. Their attempt to rebuild their lives leads them into a series of unexpected and chaotic situations.
Rahul Ramakrishna, Ashok Galla, Ravi Anthony, Dinesh Tej, Sasidhar Kocharlakota, Vidhi Yadhav, Abhignya Vuthuluru, Bhagwan Tiwari, Jatin Goswami and Rajai Rowan are part of the cast.
The film has completed its major shooting schedules and is currently in post-production. “Husharu 2” is targeting a year-end theatrical release, with more promotional material expected to be unveiled soon.
