When it comes to Bake Off presenters with eye-catching haircuts, Noel Fielding tends to take the cake – but Alison Hammond gave him a run for his money as she appeared at London Fashion Week last night.
The 51-year-old wore her hair in a large afro style as she walked down the catwalk in a glittering black maxi dress for sustainable fashion brand Vin + Omi.
She was joined by her Great British Bake Off co-star Prue Leith, 86, and Jo Wood, 71, at the show, which took place at the art’otel Hoxton in east London.
Ms Hammond had attended the show last year to support Ms Leith but decided to join in on this year for the brand’s latest collection, called Anarchy.
The This Morning presenter put on a confident display as she showed off her 11-stone weight-loss in the glamorous gown.
Ms Hammond has previously said that changing her ‘childish mentality to food’ and cutting out one of her favourite treats helped her to shed the pounds. She added that a pre-diabetes health warning pushed her to pursue a healthier lifestyle.

At her heaviest, Alison weighed 30 stone, and she began her transformation five-years ago when she started working with a personal trainer to regain her fitness and begun a stricter diet.
Prue, who was sporting huge red hair, was wearing a pair of her signature oversized glasses with a white floral tulle dress, covered in multicoloured flowers.
The British restaurateur, who stepped down from Bake Off last year, is a regular feature in the shows and has previously appeared five times.
Another star who has appeared before is Jo, who was welcomed back this time to walk the runway again alongside the other familiar faces.
Jo was wearing a long v-neck black and silver stripe maxi dress with a pair of chunky black boots and dark eye make-up.
She opted for kooky poses, holding her blonde hair up with her hands.
Vin + Omi choose people who have a connection to environmentalism, creativity, music, television or activism, rather than simply hiring famous people for publicity.
Their 2021 Future Flowers show, for example, included Jo Wood plus Olympic athletes Hannah Williams, Marcus Mepstead, Joe Choong and Stephanie Twell.
They launched as a label in 2004, but the two designers describe themselves more as ‘ideologists’ than designers.
Their aim is to use fashion as a way of getting people to think about environmental and social issues.
Alison is back on screens when Bake Off returns on September 22, with new judge Nigella Lawson taking Prue’s place after she stepped down.
