The LEGO Group has teamed up with two-time Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray to create a playful ‘mockumentary’ video showing Andy gearing up, focused and deadly serious for what appears to be major cycling ride. But the real challenge ahead was the LEGO Icons Road Bike set.
The video shows Andy celebrating his victory as he completes the 1,015 LEGO brick set.
Andy said: “I’m used to chasing wins on the tennis court, but this was a completely different kind of challenge, to be honest. Building the LEGO Icons Road Bike set requires a lot of focus and quite a bit of patience. It’s pretty similar to a tough training session, which is probably why I ended up enjoying it so much. When you finally finish it, you get that unexpected feeling of just pure, simple joy, really. The fun is definitely in the build”.
Research from the LEGO Play Well Study 2026 showed that 9 in 10 adults feel more relaxed when they’re doing something related to their passions and interests.
The LEGO Icons Road Bike set is a road bike replica with smooth front-wheel steering, working pedal and chain drive with freewheel mechanisms including derailleurs, brakes, callipers, clipless pedals and drive chain. The model stands over 14 inch (36cm) high, 23.5 inch (60cm) long and 7.5 inch (19cm) wide.
