Some events will host a main display alongside a quieter show suitable for those who prefer less noise

A host of firework displays and bonfires are scheduled to take place across Leicester and Leicestershire this autumn. Many events are expanding beyond fireworks to live music, funfairs, food and more.
The events include firework displays for people who prefer a quieter experience. With events spread across the county from Market Harborough to Loughborough, and from Leicester city centre to Coalville, it is likely you won’t have far to travel if you want to join in the fun.

Abbey Park Bonfire & Firework Display
Leicester’s Abbey Park is set to host the city’s biggest annual fireworks event with its traditional bonfire, live entertainment, a funfair, street food and licensed bar.
A children’s show with less noise will take place at 6.45pm before the main event at 8pm, which will be set to music with a countdown.
Adults can attend for £10 per person, while children will cost £8 each. A family ticket for two adults and two children is available for £30. Children under the age of four can enter for free.
Aylestone Park Football Club
As well as two firework shows, Aylestone Park Football Club, in Saffron Lane, will host local bands, stalls and more. Much-loved food trader, Spud Man, is to also return to the site for a second year running serving his viral loaded jacket potatoes.
The event will take place on Friday, November 6, with a children’s fireworks display planned for around 7.30pm alongside the main show at 8.45pm.
Tickets are available on the football club’s website priced at £25 for a family ticket (two adults and two children), £10 for an adult and £6 per child. A £1.50 fee will be added if booking online. Children under the age of four can go free.
Broom Leys Cricket Clubhouse/Broom Leys Farm
The cricket club will host its annual firework display at Broom Leys Farm, in Broom Leys Road, Coalville, with food vendors, a bar, a large bonfire, children’s fun fair rides and a live DJ planned for the event.
A quieter, low level noise display will take place at 5.15pm, while the main display will be at 7.45pm on Saturday, November 7.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite, with adults entering for £11.55 each whilst children’s tickets are priced at £3.41.
Leicester Racecourse Fireworks Festival
On Saturday, November 7, Leicester Racecourse will host its annual display in Leicester Road, Oadby.
The evening will also involve magic shows, a live DJ set from Pat Sharp and family entertainment. A children’s firework show is scheduled for 7pm with the main display planned for 8.45pm.
Tickets can be booked via the racecourse’s website with a family ticket for two adults and two children listed at £37.50.
Single tickets are sold for £12.50 per adult. The racecourse is offering a deal for £25 which will include admission for one as well as soup and a hot chocolate.
Loughborough Rugby Football Club
Organisers at the Loughborough Rugby Club, located in Cotton Way, will run a low-noise display for children at 6.45pm alongside its main display at 8pm.
Alongside the fireworks there will be a live DJ, fire eater shows, children’s fun fair rides, street food and more.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 7. A family ticket for two adults and two children can be purchased for £32 via the Gig Habit website while adult tickets are priced at £10 each and children at £8 each.
Children under the age of three can enter for free.
Market Harborough Showground
As well as its main fireworks display, the event at Market Harborough Showground, at Airfield Business Park, in Harrison Road, will have a bonfire, a fun fair, licensed bar and food stalls.
New for this year will also be monster truck rides giving visitors the chance to jump in the back of a full-size real life monster truck before the driver takes it for a spin.
The display will take place between 7.30pm and 8pm with a children’s display planned for 6pm.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite for £12 per adult and £6 for each child. Children aged under five will go free.
