Brittany Mahomes trolls Raiders after Las Vegas coach seemed certain team would beat Chiefs

Brittany Mahomes mastered the art of trolling during the early parts of her husband’s NFL career and even though fans hated it, she still put salt in the wounds of those who saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat their teams.

On Sunday night, she was at it again.

Mahomes posted a carousel of her outfit as she watched the Chiefs narrowly defeat the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium 30-27. She captioned the photo with Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak’s insistence that Las Vegas was going to come out on top.

“’We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,’” she wrote.

The Raiders had the Chiefs right where they wanted them at halftime. Las Vegas took a 13-10 lead into the locker room and Kubiak was certain the Raiders were going to come out on top.

“We’re going to win the game,” Kubiak told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson at halftime.

He must have forgotten that Patrick Mahomes was still the quarterback for the Chiefs.

Mahomes led the Chiefs on three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Raiders 20-14 in the final frame. Kansas City took the lead with 3:21 left in the game. He found Tyquan Thornton for a 55-yard pass and Kenneth Walker scored on the next play. Thornton suffered a gruesome injury on his clutch catch, but the Chiefs were able to power through.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Raiders fumbled the ball. It led to another Walker touchdown.

The Raiders cut the deficit to three points when Kirk Cousins threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bowers. Even as the Chiefs went three-and-out on their next drive, Cousins’ critical interception on the Raiders’ final drive closed the door on a miracle story.

Kansas City improved to 4-0 with the win. Las Vegas fell to 3-1.

“I think you have to stay with it,” Mahomes said of the game. “I keep saying it, but it’s not always going to be pretty. That’s a good football team, a good defense. It’s not going to always be light it up and go out there and scoring 50 points or whatever. It’s if you stay with the process, it’s going to come.”
