“I’ve been using this eye treatment for a week now, and it delivers visible results”

Cheryl is back and is the face of Nivea’s newest eye serum that is said to make lines ‘less noticeable’. The Nivea Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Serum with Epicelline is available on Amazon for £24.99.

The Cellular Age Rewind Eye Serum combines two technologies to deliver immediate and long-term results for users. The cryo technology is said to ‘instantly cool skin around the eye area by three degrees’ providing instant depuffing and firming of the eye contour for a ‘more lifted, refreshed appearance’.

While the ingredient epicelline works to rewind skin age, essentially encouraging the ageing skin cells to behave more like younger cells, as well as reducing appearance of existing signs of skin ageing.

The skin will age faster when exposed to the sun, stress and lack of sleep. But the epicelline is scientifically proven to rewind skin age by reactivating skin cells’ youth functions – with visible results expected within two weeks.

It works alongside the Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Face Serum with Epicelline. Launched last year, the face serum is available on Amazon for £17.48 and has a 4.3 average star rating.

Elsewhere, Charlotte Tilbury’s Cryo-Recovery Eye Serum costs £47. It features an ‘expertly moulded cooling metal applicator’ that fits into the eye contour to give a cooling sensation on the skin.

While, Boots sells the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng and Retinal for £15. The product is said to provide nutrients and hydration, ‘helping to improve wrinkles around the eyes’.

Back to the Cellular Age Rewind Eye Serum, it already boasts a 4.5 star rating on Amazon, where it is listed as an ‘Amazon Choice’ product.

As part of a lengthy review, one shopper, who has used Nivea products for nearly 30 years, said: “I tend to get dark circles and morning puffiness around my eyes, but I’m usually quite skeptical about eye creams or oils because so many promises on the bottle don’t pan out. However, given my long history with Nivea, I decided to give this Cellular Epigenetics serum a shot.

“The dropper applicator works well for me. It keeps things hygienic and makes it effortless to dispense a single tiny drop for each eye without wasting any product. The serum itself absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t migrate into the eyes or feel heavy. I checked the mirror after a couple of days, my under eye area looked noticeably less puffy, which sold me on it.”

Aidyl commented: “I do not usually get products at this price, especially for such a small amount, but this does feel like a premium product. I have been using it for about a week, morning and evening, and so far it has been refreshing and comfortable to apply. The texture is smooth and spreads easily, and a little goes a long way, especially around the eye area.

“It absorbs at a steady pace, not too fast, which I prefer. It leaves a soft finish with no stinging or irritation, and the comfort has been consistent each time I use it. The serum sits well under other products and does not feel heavy. Although it is sold as an eye serum, I have read elsewhere that the same types of ingredients can be used on areas like the neck, forehead and around the mouth. That is not advertised for this product, but based on my own research I have tried small amounts in those areas too, and it has been fine so far. “Overall, it feels like a good quality serum with a light, pleasant application. Time will tell how effective it is, but the early experience has been positive.”

Laura posted: “I’ve been using this eye treatment for a week now, and it delivers visible results. The cooling sensation hits instantly it drops the skin temperature by about three degrees, which feels refreshing and helps reduce puffiness right away. It’s the kind of effect you notice. I started to see a real difference in the fine lines around my eyes. The formula claims wrinkle volume reduction for most women, and I can see why. My eye area looked smoother, more rested, and definitely less creased, tightened and refreshed from within.”

However Jo wrote: “Due to being in my 40s I take skincare very seriously now and any help towards reduced fine lines is welcome! I have been using this serum twice a day every day since purchased, however I haven’t noticed any difference since using it, it does give the eye area a cooling effect when absorbed into skin and I haven’t had a reaction due to having sensitive skin, however I don’t find it incredibly moisturising so I couldn’t use as a base before make-up unless I put a moisturiser on also. Sadly not for me hence the three stars!”

And another customer added: “I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this eye serum. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or greasy, making it perfect for both morning and evening use. It has a lovely cooling sensation when applied, which helps tired, puffy eyes feel instantly refreshed. After using it consistently, the skin around my eyes feels smoother, better hydrated and looks brighter, with fine lines appearing less noticeable.

“Only a tiny drop is needed for both eyes, so although the bottle is small, it should last quite a while. It also layers well under moisturiser and makeup without causing any issues. If you’re looking for an eye serum that hydrates, refreshes and helps your eye area look more awake and youthful, this is definitely worth trying.”
