‘Our shop has been so much more than a place to shop – it has been a valued part of the local community’
A closure date has been confirmed for a Leicestershire charity shop as its area manager has issued a “heartfelt” thank you message to its customers.
The closure of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) store in Coalville’s Belvoir Shopping Centre was recently announced.
Residents recently shared their worries for the area after the charity shop announced its upcoming departure from the high street.
A closing date has now been confirmed for the store, which will shut on Saturday, October 10. Area manager at British Heart Foundation, Andrea Baker-Payne, said: “We would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone in Coalville who has supported our shop over the years and helped us raise vital funds for cardiovascular research.
“Our shop has been so much more than a place to shop. It has been a valued part of the local community, providing a place for people to volunteer, generously donate and for our lovely loyal customers to shop. They’ve all helped make a real difference.”
As the shop enters its final days, Ms Baker-Payne hopes that the store will welcome regulars and new customers.
She added: “With lots of great finds still available, you can still pick up a bargain and help us fund research.
“We are enormously grateful for the support we have received and while our shop will close soon, we hope everyone will continue supporting the British Heart Foundation by shopping, donating or volunteering in our other shops.”
