During the Football World Cup, Norwegian player Erling Haaland became a fan favourite worldwide. And now the 26-year-old Manchester City player has revealed his four favourite films in a new interview with Letterboxd. The social media platform is designed for sharing personal film tastes and includes a chance to compile lists of favourites.
First up, Haaland chose Martin Scorsese’s biopic of real-life stockbroker Jordan Belfort, starring Leonardo DiCaprio: “The Wolf of Wall Street has to be in, I think you understand why!” He then chose two ancient world epics, one being Ridley Scott’s Roman multi-Oscar winner and the other being Brad Pitt’s take on a Greek demigod: “Gladiator has to be there because it’s an amazing movie. Achilles has to be there, or Troy or however you call it.”
