Flat Iron has announced the exact date it’s opening in Birmingham – and how to get half price food when it does.
The steakhouse, famous for its bargain meat cuts and ‘excellent’ flavours, will open on Temple Street on Saturday, October 10.
However, some guests can get in early to be among the first to dine.

On Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9, Flat Iron will be hosting soft launch days with 50% off food.
And any Brummies interested in trying out the brand are invited to join them – you just need to sign up on the Flat Iron website.
The Birmingham restaurant will be set over two floors, with space for 60 downstairs and a further 50 upstairs.
The company is named for the special cut of meat it has perfected, a piece of the featherblade just below the shoulder of the cow.
Charlie Carroll, the business owner, started out in 2012, learning to butcher meat himself to sell at pop-ups in London.
Since then, the business has grown and it’s Soho branch has been dishing up food in the capital for 14 years.
The lesser-used cut means less expensive steaks, with the signature dish just £15.
Other dishes to look forward to on Temple Street are wagyu steak of the day, and a smashed onion double cheeseburger, made with beef from the Flat Iron herd up in Thirsk, Yorkshire.
Beef dripping is used to fry the chips while creamed spinach, truffled macaroni cheese and crispy bone marrow garlic mash are popular sides.
And on the drinks menu, Flat Iron has its own Malbec, blended using grapes grown in the Limoux area of the Languedoc in the south of France.
There are draft beers, house fizz and signature cocktails too.
Flat Iron’s ‘Head of Beef’ Fred Smith commented: “We’re excited to be opening our first restaurant in the Midlands in the centre of Birmingham, surrounded by some of the city’s best-known landmarks.
“Our mission has always been simple: to offer remarkable, carefully sourced steak at an affordable price.
“We’re really looking forward to bringing what we do to Birmingham and becoming part of its burgeoning food scene.”
