“Fauji” is one of Prabhas’ most-awaited films and has been in production for quite some time. Director Hanu Raghavapudi has been working on the pan-Indian biggie for over two years now. The film was officially launched in August 2024, and the makers recently reconfirmed December 3, 2026, as its release date.
However, there is now fresh speculation about a possible postponement. Two other films are reportedly looking to lock the same weekend. Naga Chaitanya’s “Vrushakarma” is said to be targeting December 3, while Dulquer Salmaan’s “Sri Sri” is reportedly eyeing December 4.
Considering “Fauji” is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it is unlikely that these films would announce the same weekend without some clarity from the production house. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are known to maintain cordial relations with fellow producers, and they may have already communicated their plans to BVSN Prasad, the producer of “Vrushakarma,” and Sudhakar Cherukuri, who is backing “Sri Sri.”
At this point, however, there is no official confirmation that “Fauji” has been postponed. The release plans of the three films should become clearer once the respective producers make formal announcements.
If “Fauji” does move out of December 3, it could have a cascading effect on Prabhas’ other projects, including “Spirit,” as the actor’s upcoming films are understood to have interlinked release plans.
Prabhas’ films have frequently seen their schedules extended beyond the originally announced timelines, and “Fauji” could now be facing a similar situation. More clarity is expected in the coming days.
