Fender and Music Venue Trust have aligned on a new initiative.
Music Venue Trust do wonderful work with independent venues across the land, and a new project with Fender aims to honour and amplify that.
Fans across England, Scotland and Wales are being invited to nominate their favourite local music venue for the chance to receive a bundle of premium Fender gear, a key resource for musicians.
To take part, music fans can head here to nominate their chosen grassroots venue. In all, three winning venues – one from each of England, Scotland and Wales – will be selected based on the highest number of regional nominations received, with each winner awarded a gear bundle from across Fender brands, including a Hot Rod Deluxe™ IV amplifier, a 5150® Iconic® Series 40W EL34 1×12 Combo, a Rumble™ 200 bass amp, anAcoustic SFX® II amplifier and a StudioLive® SE Digital Console Mixer – size tailored to the venue’s needs. Full terms and conditions apply.
In addition to this, everyone who submits a venue nomination will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Sparkle Precision Bass®, the instrument made to be played live. Nominations close on 1st October.
“Grassroots music venues are where it all begins, the stages where artists cut their teeth, develop their careers, and the places music fans discover their new favourite acts. Fender has always believed in the power of that connection, and this partnership with Music Venue Trust is our way of putting that belief into action,” said Liam Cunnah, Executive Vice President, EMEA, Fender. “We’re asking fans across the UK to tell us which venues matter most to them, because nobody knows these spaces better than the communities they serve, and we look forward to getting some fantastic new gear into the rooms where the next generation of artists will make their mark.”
“Grassroots music venues are where artists develop their craft, build audiences and create the foundations of sustainable careers. They are also vital cultural spaces at the heart of their communities,” said Denzil Thomas, Partnerships Lead at Music Venue Trust. “This partnership with Fender gives music fans an opportunity to celebrate the venues that matter to them, while helping us highlight the extraordinary work these venues do every day to support live music.”
