Fantasy synth is perhaps dungeon synth’s most widely beloved sub-genre, so it is fitting that such an artist would emerge with literal sword in hand from Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, a windswept realm closely associated with the works of J. R. R. Tolkien (via director Sir Peter Jackson). Preamble thusly established, adventurous listeners can hexcrawl through the mysterious expanses of composer / producer Fox Moss aka Niamh Woollin‘s debut album Eternal Veil — binding together elements of ambient, new age, electronica, kosmische musik and haunting avant-folk into an enchanting, deeply immersive eight-track journey.
