Has Alia Bhatt agreed to join NTR’s ‘Dragon’ in a key role? – Telugu Cinema

Alia Bhatt

The shooting of NTR and Prashanth Neel’s “Dragon” has been temporarily halted as the actor is undergoing rehabilitation following shoulder surgery. NTR underwent the procedure last month at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, and doctors have advised him to take six weeks of rest and physiotherapy. He is expected to return to the sets next month.

Meanwhile, there is fresh talk about changes to the cast of “Dragon.” According to Bollywood reports, director Prashanth Neel has approached Alia Bhatt for a key role and has reportedly convinced her to be part of the film. Some reports even suggest that the actress has signed the project.

However, there is no official confirmation from the makers or Alia Bhatt regarding her involvement.

Alia and NTR previously shared screen space in SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, although they did not have a pairing in the film. Alia played Sita, Ram Charan’s love interest.

Rukmini Vasanth is the film’s main heroine, and her character was introduced in the video glimpse released earlier. NTR plays an assassin named Luger in the period action drama, which is set against the backdrop of the opium wars following the British withdrawal from India.

Anil Kapoor is playing a police officer in the film. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the film is currently scheduled to arrive in theatres in June 2027. There has also been speculation that “Dragon” could be made in two parts, but the makers have not officially confirmed this either.
