Calling all beauty lovers and festive fans, the PrettyLittleThing advent calendar is back. And I got my hands on it to give the low-down on everything shoppers need to know. There’s only one advent calendar to choose from this year (as opposed to the two in 2025), but the brand has packed it full of 24 products worth £297.
Upon first impressions, I love the 2026 packaging – the Advent calendar comes housed in a burgundy and pink box adorned with charming illustrations. From candy canes to bows, ice skates to Christmas trees, and not forgetting the brand’s signature unicorn, it’s a beautiful design that is festive without being overly seasonal.
Having opened all the doors prior to December for the sake of research, in my opinion the PrettyLittleThing advent calendar has a generous offering of beauty items perfect for the makeup-obsessed. Priced at £80, each item comes in at around £3 and, considering there are top brands such as Iconic London, Bloom & Blossom and Made By Mitchell in the mix, it’s a cost-effective way to try out new products or stock up on favourites.

I won’t give away all the surprises (the full contents list is down below), but there were certainly a few standout items for me. Behind one of the doors, I carefully unwrapped the pretty pink tissue paper each product comes in, to find a travel-size Sabrina Carpenter Cherry Baby Eau De Parfum.
A 10ml bottle typically costs £15.99 at Boots, so being effectively £3 in this calendar is an excellent saving – although one downside is some people may have preferred a larger size. The scent is sweet but not cloying, featuring notes of red poppy, peony and vanilla orchid. It’s the ideal size to pop in a handbag and take out for top-ups during the festive party season.

Speaking of party season, there are several items that will help buyers feel their best this December. There’s an Iconic London Get Cheeky Face Powder Palette (£35), complete with four powders to create a custom glow, a pair of Land of Lashes Half Lash (£7) for a fluttery finish and a Made By Mitchell Bare Mango Beam Lip Gloss (£12) to perfect a pout.
Another beauty advent calendar that can help upgrade any glam look is the Revolution Advent Calendar 2026 (£50 at LookFantastic). It boasts items such as eyeshadow, lipstick, blusher, and powder, as well as blending tools and powder presses.
There’s also the OK! Beauty Box Advent Calendar by Hannah Martin. This year’s offering is worth £605 but retails for £109. Inside shoppers will find makeup and skincare from the likes of Bobbi Brown, bareMinerals, Kosas, Weleda and more.
Inside the PrettyLittleThing advent calendar, there are several makeup tools and extras, including brushes, headbands, and faux nails, so it’s worth noting that not every day will be a new formula – if that’s what you’re mainly after. It’s more suited to those who prefer makeup over skincare; however, there are a few skincare items including a b.bold Face Serum (£14.95) and a Bloom & Blossom Hand Cream (£18).
Those who prioritise body care might want to consider the Soap & Glory Unwrap The Magic Within 24 Piece Advent Calendar (£48 at Boots). It contains everything from bath fizzers to body butters, hand cream and shower gel, in a range of iconic scents such as Original Pink.
Overall, the PrettyLittleThing advent calendar is a fun and playful way to count down December – and stock up beauty bags at the same time. In my opinion, it caters to a younger audience rather than a mature shopper, which could be a negative for some, but there are products that all ages can use and enjoy.
